Summer Skin Care

Having a love affair with these Garnier Skin Care Products

Summer is always the hardest on my skin. So this summer I decided to switch up my routine as I really wasn't seeing the any kind of results I was looking for in my skin. I needed that natural dewy glow.
I heard rave reviews about the Micellar Cleansing Water from Garnier, seems every blogger and makeup/YouTube gurus has tried it and seems to like it. So I decided to pop in to my local Rite Aid and purchase one....However ended up getting the Cleansing towelettes, Shine Control Cleansing Gel, Blackhead Eliminating Scrub and the Clearly Brighter Anti-Sun Damage Moisturizer (with SPF 30)....siggghh! The story of my life.
I use these Cleansing Towettes first just to take the excess makeup black eyeliner and excess glue from eye lashes
Next I use my Micellar Cleansing Water to take off most of my makeup at the end of the day.
In Love with this Shine Control Cleansing Gel it has charcoal in it! And I totally  see the difference already!
Follow the Cleanser with this exfoliating scrub but I do this every other day
This one right is my fav! I totally love the smell, the texture, and the results I"m seeing

A COOL LITTLE WEEKEND

Tops: H&M.com | Shorts: H&M.com | Shoes: stevemadden.com | Handbag: Aldoshoes.com

It was quiet a lovely weekend with tons of backyard BBQs, and summer effects since the previous days were so hot and humid. I was literally so excited that the weather was cool and cooperating.
One of my favorite times of the year is early summer when it's kind of hot but not intensely hot....I love the fact that I can wear cute little short shorts and pretty little flowy tops.

I bought this pretty cold shoulder top from H&M and I have to say its one of the best $25 I've ever spent it has tiny blue and white pinstripes a with little tie detail at chest and cute button along front.
These little denim shorts perfectly hide all my imperfections and it was under $20 at H&M. I see this being on repeat all summer long.

SUNDAY AFTERNOON TEA?

A beautiful Sunday to bring in the new week and to let us know yes it is summer. Today I felt a little glam I channeled my inner diva and donned this flower beauty. Felt just like Dorothy Dandridge.

JUNE-JULY MAKEUP FAVS

Summer is my favorite time of the year, time to pull out the short shorts and sleeveless. But its also the time of year where my skin changes, and I have to tweak some of my makeup choices. I have combination skin and with oily T zones (for guys who don't know that your T-zones are located along your forehead and nose and sometimes your cheeks bones, creating the T shape) So in the summer due to the heat extra SPF protection (never leave home without it!) my skin is prone to breakouts.

In my subsequent post I will delve into my skincare routine.  Some of my favorite go to-s are my NYX Shine Killer and NYX Pore Filler love the light feel of both the shine controller and the pore killer as well as the silicon base.

For that awesome strobing for days look I love my Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in Sun Kissed to add that extra shine, this kit OMG! is so magical and a little goes along way.I'm still a big fan of Maybelline Great Lash its been years since I discovered it and heyyy! If it ain't broke don't fix it. One of my favorite make up or post make up product is my Mac Blotted Powder, this works amazing on the shine that creeps with after long wear.
By now you guys can realize I love mixing the highs with the lows, every product doesn't need t o break the bank to be effective. Be open to trying some of the drugstore makeup offerings you may be presently surprised.

For summer I like to add a pop of color on my lips but keep my lids pretty standard natural colors or simple smokey eyes. Below are some of the products I'm currently crushing on for the month of June into July.

LA Girl Matte Lipstick in shade STUNNER
NYX Shine Killer Primer

STRIPED A WHILE

Top: Shopposhe.com | Jeans: Forever21 | Shoes: Charlotterusse.com | Bag: Shopposhe.com

If you guys haven't notice it as yet I am in love with all things off the shoulder, I cant seem to get enough of it. And this top is giving me all kind of life over here. Its the perfect mixture of two of my favorite things off the shoulder style and stripes.
I decided to keep it simple but comfy with my favorite pair of high waisted jeans and coral red heels.

I'm so excited summer has officially began, I hope you guys stick around to see what other shenanigans I get myself into.

PRETTY LITTLE FLOWER

So its Fathers Day weekend, and the weather is so wonderful I decide the hit one of the hippest places in New York City Williamsburg, and of course I had to hit up one of my favorite Mexican spots Mole Mexican Restaurant.
They serve some of the best margaritas not the commercial kind the real Mexican style with house made tequila.

I wanted to wear something cute comfortable but weather appropriate, I had this number lying around and I've waiting for the perfect day to wear yesterday just happen to be the perfect day. I paired this abstract flower print short pant set with my go to summer heels these white snake skin heels, and this cute little black clutch. I decided to keep the accessories simple.

LITTLE STRIPED BEAUTY

Could I be more obsessed with this striped romper? No… No I couldn’t. She is topping the list as one of my favorite summer outfits! And guess what it’s only cost  $32.sold and sold, am I right?
It’s been crazy hot and humid in New York City lately so I’ve been wanting to wear as little as possible without looking naked so this romper was pretty perfect for that. It’s loose and forgiving but the cinched waist gives it a flattering touch. It’s pretty nice this weekend so that I can wear all day from running errands to happy hour with the girls.
I decided to pair this little number with a long denim vest, laced up tan heels and Aztec print envelope clutch.
