About Pretty and Poshe

Welcome to Pretty and Poshe where my adventures in style, design, DIY, home decor projects, and life as a young woman in New York come to play.

In August 2013 I started this journey as I migrated from my little Caribbean island to the big bold and sometimes scary New York City and wanted to keep my friends and family updated on my latest crafty dabbling and my chic sometimes elaborate outfit choices.

Today, the site has been re-imagined and revamped into a creative space for my self expression. It’s a place where you can find plenty of color, style, healthy recipes and smiles.

Hi I’m Mikieda, the voice behind Pretty and Poshe. A few of my favorite things are strawberries, polka dots, bright colors, white jeans, J.Crew style guides, gold jewelry, glitter, blazers, beach vacations, and hiking (though I never get to much of it these days).
